RYT-500, Studio Manager
I began my journey as a yoga practitioner in 2010 while getting my Bachelors Degree in Music from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. The practice started as a self-study home practice, but soon made my way to my first studio class and never looked back. I received my 200 Hour and 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certifications from YogaOne Studio in Cedarburg, WI with Meg Galarza in 2013 and 2017, respectively. I've been teaching for over 10 years in a variety of facilities, previously owned and operated a small yoga studio, and ran Teacher Training programs in the Lake Country area. I've had the great pleasure of studying with numerous teachers over the years and I believe in always continuing to grow as a teacher student with an endless and passionate pursuit in education. My method is rooted in bringing effective, foundational, and innovative sequences that are accessible and resonate with all who come to practice.
Off the mat you can find me at the Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) in Waukesha where I work full time as an Adoption Counselor, Shelter Cat Behaviorist and Vet Assistant. I am a (totally sane) cat lady and all-around animal welfare and rescue advocate. I share my life with a wonderful husband and our large family of kitties.
My goal is for you to leave class feeling welcomed, supported, efficiently exhausted, balanced, and ready to dive in to more yoga (while perhaps also considering adopting a new rescue animal). I look forward to seeing you on the mat!
